Self-paced written learning and practical field experience

Participants will be required to attend an 8hr workshop as part of Aqua Fitness elective studies


Written and practical assessments

Practical Assessment Option A, Face-to-Face:

Assessors must satisfy the Standards for Registered Training Organisations requirements for assessors. Assessors must have 2 years consecutive industry experience in the application of the skills and knowledge of these units.

A copy of your assessors skill set MUST be provided.

Practical Assessment Option B, Video Assessment:

A video may be sent to Active Training either via Youtube or USB for assessment.

The Certificate III in Fitness (Aqua Fitness Elective Units) SIS30315 provides a pathway to work as an instructor providing exercise instruction for aqua programs. Self-paced learning modules and field experience hours provide students with all they need to successfully complete their studies and enter the fitness industry.

  • SISCAQU008  Instruct water familiarisation, buoyancy and mobility skills

  • SISFFIT022      Instruct aquatic sessions for specific population groups
  • HLTWHS001   Participate in workplace health and safety

Basic Water Rescues, Instruct Water Familiarisation, Buoyancy and Mobility Skills, Identify Risk and Apply Risk Management Processes and Participate in Workplace Health and Safety units will require students to attend an 8 hour workshop.
