Participants will be required to kneel whilst performing CPR and breathe into a manikin via a pocket mask.

This course is nationally recognised.

This course, known as Advanced Resuscitation, follows the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines for provision of First Aid. It aims to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills to safely handle and use oxygen therapy equipment including cleaning, storage, set up and administration of oxygen on conscious breathing, unconscious breathing and unconcsious non-breathing casualties.

Incorporating the Unit of Competence:

  • HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation

  • Legal issues and requirements
  • CPR (resuscitation)
  • Debriefing/welfare
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Oropharyngeal airways
  • Bag valve mask
  • Use of supplementary oxygen
  • Maintenance of resuscitation equipment
