Completion of the Certificate III in Fitness qualification provides career pathways to work as an instructor providing exercise instruction for group, aqua or gym programs. Attainment of this qualification offers a maximum of 100 SACE points.

The Certificate III in Fitness SIS30321 incorporates the following Units of Competence:

Cost
$1,695.00 - (this cost includes course workbooks and participation in the individual course. An initial deposit of $565.00 is required to secure enrolment with a further 2 instalments of the same amount to follow.

Duration

The Certificate III in Fitness must be completed within 12 months.

An additional 6 month extension is available for a set fee.

Pre Requisites

Nil.

Course Accreditation

This course is nationally recognised and meets all AQTF requirements.

Students can complete the course at 16 years of age.

Physical Requirements

This course includes both theoretical and practical components designed for future fitness professionals. Participants are required to:

  • Demonstrate correct exercise techniques, including strength, cardiovascular, and flexibility movements.

  • Safely participate in and deliver fitness sessions, which may involve moderate to high-intensity activity.

  • Assist clients with equipment and exercises, following safe manual handling practices.

A sound level of physical fitness, stamina, and mobility is essential to fully engage in the course and meet assessment requirements. If you have concerns about your ability to meet these demands, please contact us prior to enrolment to discuss reasonable adjustments.

Self - paced studies.

Assessment

In addition, students will be required to complete a minimum of 30 hours practical field experience hours and complete workbooks containing theory assessments. It is critical for students to align themselves with a qualified and experienced mentor (Certifcate IV in Fitness plus a minimum of 1 years industry experience) throughout the practical field experience hours.

NOTE: Prior to commencing Field Experience, Fitness Student Insurance will be required. This insurance can be obtained by going to http://fitness.org.au and applying on-line. The insurance is FREE and offers coverage for up to 12 months.
